Start preparing for Christmas with this event on Sun. Nov 30th.  At noon, we begin the celebration with a simple fellowship meal of soups and chili.  For the children we will also have a mac and cheese choice as well.  Following the meal we will gather for caroling and some special music prepared by Bill Bellah.  Sue Hedrick and Nancy Yob will teach us the meaning of Chrismons and lead us in making them to decorate the last sanctuary tree.  We hope you will join us!

You are invited to worship with other Christians to give thanks to God at the Community Thanksgiving Eve Worship, Wed. November 26^th,  7pm  at Vista de la Montana UMC Church.  A time to prepare our hearts to truly be thankful.  Beautiful music of combined choirs.  Offering that evening will go to Catalina Community Services to help with the poor and hungry.  We hope you will join us and invite a friend to lift their spirit.

This holiday season, the fourth, fifth, sixth grade class of Vista de la Montana is reaching out to the families of deployed personnel from Davis Monthan Air Force Base. The families are facing many obstacles in addition to the emotional and financial stress of trying to prepare for the holidays in the absence of the father or mother.

The class is collecting phone cards, gift cards from area stores such as Target, Walmart, and various grocery stores,  New toys are also needed.  The collected items will be delivered, by pre-arrangement, to the head of Family Services at Davis Monthan Air Force Base.

If you wish to share this effort with the children, please send or deliver your gift cards, toys,  and contributions to cover the purchase of cards or toys, to Vista de la Montana United Methodist Church, 3001 E. Miravista Lane, Tucson, 85739.  The church is located just south of Catalina, two tenths mile south of Golder Rd. then west off Oracle.

Vista de la Montaña United Methodist Church in Catalina again invites the north Pima County and southern Pinal County community to share in a festive evening of Christmas music on Friday, December 12 at 7:00 pm.

The tradition continues as the musicians and actors of Vista present a program of choral and instrumental music and comedy.  Special music by the Chancel Choir, the Men’s Ensemble, Men’s Quartet, Solo’s, Duets and assorted instrumentals will be accompanied by a visit from at least one surprise guest who does not live at the North Pole.   Come, join us and be prepared to laugh and usher in the holiday season with gusto.  We are located at 3001 E. Mira Vista Lane in Catalina, admission is free and a great time will be experienced by all.  Come early for the best seats.  See you there.
